China Oilfield Services (COSL) has picked up a pair of platform supply vessels at compatriot shipyard Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co.
The Hong Kong-listed offshore operator has already taken delivery of one 3,300-dwt ship with the other to follow at the end of August, it said today.
Both vessels are expected to begin operations in the final quarter of the year.COSL gave no indication how much it paid for the KCM75M model units.
Xiamen Shipbuilding has nine vessels that fit that description under construction, according to Clarksons.Singapore-based owners Sentinel Marine and MK Marine are listed as being behind the orders.
Just last month COSL revealed it has ordered 15 platform supply vessels from four different Chinese yards.
